Church Clerk

Much of the efficient functioning of this office is keeping an accurate record of the church membership. The details of members are now on the Adventist Church Management System Database (ACMS) and as such we, as data processors, must follow the Data Protection Act and GDPR in protecting the privacy of our members.

We have been given access to the ACMS to process data (members’ names, contact details, dates of birth and other necessary personal data) solely for the purpose of the church.  In line with the legislation, we are only permitted to share the information of members to elected church officers, who have the right to carry out their departmental role such as for visitation.  Under no circumstances should details of members be used for any purpose other than those of the church.

Quarterly and Annual reports are submitted to the South England Conference Secretariat informing them of baptisms, transfers, votes, deaths, and apostasies.  All correspondences are dealt with by the church clerks.

All enquiries for use of the church for weddings, baby dedications, funerals, meetings, or any other functions must be referred to the church clerk.  They can be contacted via email Stokeychurchclerk@hotmail.com.

The members for this office are Kathleen Stewart and Marcia Oughton who are the administrative arm of the Stoke Newington Seventh-day Adventist Church, working together in our Master’s Service.
